who we are:

We are a group of one therapist and two dietitians who believe there's so much more life available to us when we ditch the diet mentality, care for our bodies without the noise of rules and trendy ways of eating, and challenge the narratives we hold about our self-worth being based on the size and shape of our body.

There's a saying that how you eat is how you do everything.

We want to help your relationship with food feel more flexible, intuitive, and caring. Because maybe your self-talk and relationship with everything else can soften, too, as a result.

WHO IS
FOOD + BODY
NOT FOR?

*Food & Body Group not provide the appropriate level of support for those struggling with an active eating disorder and/or are in the early stage of eating disorder recovery. Eating disorders require medical, nutritional and therapeutic support and stabilization before implementing elements of Intuitive Eating.

a little about intuitive eating

Intuitive eating is not a diet or a lifestyle plan.

It's how we were born to eat—how we're meant to eat.

Intuitive eating is an approach to eating that guides you back towards your intuition and the deep care and internal trust you hold towards your self and your body. Before diet and wellness culture created so much anxiety, shame, obsession, and rigidity around eating.

Research studies have shown that intuitive eaters experience improved psychological health, including decreased disordered eating behaviors, improved body image, and a healthier relationship with food, as well as improved health outcomes without a focus on weight, size, or shape.

Intuitive eating is about rejecting diet culture, satiating hunger rather than trying to suppress it, attuning to your body, and learning to seek pleasure from eating experiences rather than experiencing intense feelings of shame and guilt.

Through group collaboration, discussion, and take-home prompts, this group will help you redefine your relationship with food and body from contention to a place of trust, flexibility, and care.
